We are looking for a financial controller to manage the financial operations of it’s UK subsidiary which is based out of two offices, one in Membury, Berkshire and the other in Stockport, Cheshire. The position will be based in the Membury offices.
You will be a qualified accountant and have a solid CV that ideally demonstrates experience of working for a subsidiary of an international business. You will be commercially minded, understand the challenges of an SME business and have a solid understanding of information systems, ideally of Sage 200.
This position, which reports to the UK General Manager, is responsible for:
- The financial management of the subsidiary, ensuring that all company fiscal and legal obligations are met.
- Proposing, defining and realising the necessary tools to ensure tight control of the subsidiary, with primary focus on sales, margins, fixed and variable costs.
- Defining and verifying the correct inventory processes and procedures to maximise stock rotation and minimise obsolescence.
- Managing the receivables, both through insurance and internal credit limits, with a specific focus on reducing DSO and bad debt
- Managing the information system and the reporting required by corporate HQ to the set deadlines.
- Dealing with external consultants, lawyers, auditors and financial institutions.
